PZETS-2025 Oral Presentation：Towards Sustainable Levulinic Acid Production from Waste Straw Biomass by a “Carbohydrate-First” Strategy

Dr. Liangfang Zhu, currently a professor of chemistry in Sichuan University, obtained her PhD degree in 2007 (Physical Chemistry). In 2010-2012, she did her postdoctoral work at Nanyang Technological University of Singapore, where she worked on the functionalized nanomaterials for catalytic applications. Currently, Dr. Zhu’ research focus on green chemistry and chemical engineering, mainly in the field of catalytic conversion of lignocellulosic biomass into platform chemicals and materials. She has authored more than 70 peer reviewed papers and 3 book chapters. She has filled 22 patents, among which 3 have been transferred of technology. She is the leader of the Advanced Team for Women’s Achievements and Contributions at Sichuan University. She has been awarded the Second Prize of the Natural Science Award for Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement Award of the Ministry of Education in China.
