Jianyong Liu got his PhD degree in Environmental Engineering from Tongji University in 2003. From August 2005, he moved to Shanghai University. His main research interests are resource/energy recycling of waste and sewage, and low carbon treatment. The group he leads has established long-term cooperation with internationally influential groups in this field, such as Tohoku University (Japan), Ghent University (Belgium), University of Queensland (Australia), and Arizona State University (USA), and has rich experiences in international cooperation. He has published more than 100 SCI papers in international journals. He has been awarded more than 20 national invention patents.
